Course details

This is a quick-start course to take you from complete beginner to creating your own basic game in two days. Our specialist Games Academy team will introduce you to Unity from scratch, walking through building logic with visual scripting and teaching you how to implement art assets and build worlds using assets.

By the end of day one, you’ll have all the fundamentals covered that you will need to create your first game.

On the second day, we’ll start the morning off with an ideas generation round. Following this, with a strict time limit, you’ll be supported to make a game that follows the chosen idea / theme.

You’ll work individually within a group of likeminded people, in a creative and supportive environment to spark ideas, test knowledge, and encourage you to challenge your abilities.

At the end of the course you’ll all get a chance to submit your games for peer review and will be able to play each other’s creations after the course. You’ll take the copy away with you of the game you’ve created.

Taught by our Games Academy team and located in our fantastic facilities on our Penryn campus, this course includes all materials and equipment needed, along with refreshments each day. Please bring a packed lunch with you.

This is an outline of what we’ll cover on each day of this course:

  • Basics of Visual Scripting tools
  • Implementing assets into Unity Engine
  • Building and sharing games to explore and test knowledge

Day two
