This is not the Macbeth you might remember......

Macbeth, an undoing, is a contemporary, visceral response to Shakespeare’s text, exploring the treatment of the female characters  to darkly comic, vengeful and ultimately tragic effect. Lady Macbeth scorns the path that Shakespeare laid out for her and battles to take charge of the narrative. The King, the Thanes and the Lords fight desperate wars of succession to cling to their power and wealth. But it’s the displaced wild women of the heath who escalate events to their terrifying and fatal conclusion.
