Current status: Open

Amount: £1,000 for each full year of study

Who it's for: The Pendennis Bursary supports students who are under 25 and are a care leaver or are in similar circumstances without any family network or support. To be eligible for the Pendennis Bursary, students must also have been assessed as independent by Student Finance.

About the Pendennis Bursary

The bursary is £1,000 in each full year of study and is intended to help with the cost of any deposits and additional accommodation required during the course of the academic year.

In addition to the £1,000 bursary, recipients of the Pendennis Bursary will receive welcome vouchers to spend at ASDA when they arrive at Falmouth in their first term and a Falmouth Bursary (2020 entrants) or Materials Award (pre-2020 entrants) later in the academic year.

Support may also be offered to help cover the cost of a deposit for University-owned or managed accommodation, prior to enrolling. Applicants who are care leavers or may otherwise qualify for the Pendennis Bursary should contact the Student Finance team to discuss this.

How to apply

Care Leavers and eligible students or applicants can be identified to us via colleagues from within or outside the University, and we would encourage students who feel they may be eligible for the Pendennis Bursary to contact the Student Finance team.
