Hello. Today I'm going to be showing you the transport options between Falmouth and Penryn campuses.
So I hope you come on this journey with me and, yeah, let's get into it.
Travelling by bus
We need to find our bus stop and look at tickets, which you can do by downloading the First Bus App. You can buy a return ticket on the bus, which is what I do. You can tap on and off for short journeys or buy ticket bundles.
Every bus that starts with a U goes to Penryn Campus. The U3 takes the quickest and most direct route but others stop along the way at some very useful places.
The buses don't just go to Falmouth and Penryn though; they go all over Cornwall. The U1 and U1A go to Newquay, the U2 goes to Redruth and Camborne, the U3 goes between the campuses and the U4 goes all the way to Penzance.
But we are getting on the U1 starting in town outside Wetherspoons and going up to the top of Killigrew Street where, as you can see, around the corner here is where Falmouth Campus is.
Then we go past the Rugby Club, then to the Esso garage where there is also a Burger King. We then go past the skate park and then past McDonald's and Sainsbury's, which is very useful. We also go by a Pets at Home, and more importantly, a Lidl, which is very good.
And if you're on the U3, here is the direct route all the way up to campus but we are going to go through Penryn town as we are on the U1.
So here we go - Penryn town, which is very helpful, of course, if you live in one of the houses in Penryn town.
Speaking of which, here is one of the student accommodation blocks - The Sidings. And just past here is the train station, and finally we are on Penryn campus. Just pulling up at the bus stop.
So that journey only took us 22 minutes and 48 seconds, but it was even quicker on the way back using the U3, which is a much more direct route so let me show you that journey.
And so here we are at a bus stop called King Charles School. This is where Falmouth Campus is and that journey only took us 14 minutes, so you're saving roughly about 10 minutes there.
Cycling between campuses
You can also cycle between Falmouth and Penryn campuses using either your own bikes or the electric bikes found around town, called Beryl Bikes
Travelling by train
If you wanted to get the train, you could do this lovely scenic walk past Packsaddle Hill student accommodation all the way down to Penryn train station.
You would then simply hop off here at Falmouth Town station and head on down to Falmouth Campus from here.
Well guys, I hope you found that video on the transport around Falmouth useful.
So yeah, thank you very much for watching. See you later!
