Stewart Noakes
Lecturer, MSc Entrepreneurship & Innovation Management
Stewart is a serial entrepreneur who has built companies in the UK, Portugal, India and the USA before joining the Cornwall Business School to lecture on the MSc in Entrepreneurship & Innovation Management.
He mentors and supports startups in various programs including Dengun, SetSquared Bristol and Connectology (Urban Mobility) and actively serves on the boards of several technology startups. Through his role as co-founder of Canopy Community, Stewart helps to organise regular events, meetups and demo nights that bring together a global community of startup Founders, investors and innovators.
Where Stewart thrives is at the intersect between academia and entrepreneurship. He puts into practice the concepts from academia to speed up and derisk the early stage startup journey and helps founders to navigate their way to product market fit. As part of developing his practice of teaching Stewart regularly engages with other universities and programs to deliver guest talks and knowledge shares. These have included Villanova University (USA), University of the Algarve (Portugal), Nova BUsiness School (Portugal), National University of Singapore, Saiid Business School (UK), University of Sussex (UK) and City University of London (UK).
