Lionel Bunting

Module Leader, Business & Marketing BSc(Hons) (Online)

Lionel has a rich history within the higher education sector for over 20 years, starting out as an associate lecturer in 2001 with the University of Central Lancashire and students on enterprise programmes of study. He later became a senior lecturer and course leader for the marketing programmes at the University of Chichester, joining the management team there with responsibility for recruitment, marketing and outreach. After which he progressed to a leadership role at London Metropolitan University overseeing the academic portfolio and learning & teaching matters.

Since 2023 Lionel stepped back from full time employment to focus on his doctoral studies in Paris and his role as Chair of the national youth and community charity, The Feathers Association. Alongside this he is an independent Governor for a multisite college group and an Associate Lecturer for MBA, marketing and luxury brand management master’s programmes with the University of London and Ravensbourne University. His subject areas are marketing and entrepreneurship, with specialism is brand management and luxury marketing, and he is passionate about inspiring all students on their academic journey and has a particular affinity to guiding, shaping, and mentoring young entrepreneurs.

In his personal life he is an avid climber & boulderer both outdoor and indoor and when not on the crags of Kent and Dorset he can be found mountain biking through the South Downs National Park or motorbiking along the south coast.
