Falmouth University’s Games Academy is one of the top undergraduate schools for game design studies according to The Princeton Review. The education services company placed the Games Academy at 17th in their list of the Top 50 Undergraduate Schools for Game Design for 2024.

The Princeton Review chose the schools based on its 2023 survey of administrators at 150 institutions across the world offering game design courses or degree programs. The survey collected information in four areas: academics, faculty, technology, and career prospects.

Rob Franek, The Princeton Review's Editor-in-Chief, said: "We highly recommend Falmouth University as well as the other outstanding schools on our 2024 lists to students considering a career in the exciting field of game design. Their faculties are superb. Their facilities are state-of-the-art, and their alumni include many of the industry’s most successful game designers, developer and entrepreneurs."

The Princeton Review developed this ranking project in 2010 with guidance from a national advisory board the company formed to help design the survey and methodology for the rankings. Advisory board members included administrators and faculty from respected game design school programs, and professionals from some of the top video game companies.

At Falmouth’s Game Academy, students work in one of the largest game development studios in any UK university, collaborating in multiskilled teams and using professional-standard facilities to produce their own games.

Taught by tutors with extensive industry experience, working in close proximity to cutting-edge research and having the opportunity to work on real-life projects, our students graduate with the technical skill and workplace know-how to excel in the industry.
