Pitching and Rising Stars announcement at Launchpad

We're excited to be hosting an exclusive networking event next week, organised in collaboration with Cornwall Chamber of Commerce and Tech Nation. 

Pitch in the Pad taking place on Thursday 24 November in the Launchpad Studio will showcase some of the county’s start-up talent as well as an announcement from Tech Nation, concluding with networking and canapes. 

The event gives founders within Cornwall the opportunity to develop and hone their pitching skills to get investment ready. Start-ups, AvatarJo, WisdomWorks and Launchpad’s own Amutri and Constructiv, will deliver pitches and take questions from a panel of investors.

Following the pitches, the Tech Nation team will announce the southwest finalists of their Rising Stars competition, which supports early-stage start-ups, providing the winners with a bespoke package of support to help them take their business to the next level. 

Adrian Scales, Senior Investment Manager at Falmouth University, said: “We’re delighted to be collaborating with the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce and Tech Nation on another exciting event that gives Cornish starts up the opportunity to network and pitch to investors.”

Pitch in the Pad, followed by the Tech Nation Rising Stars announcement will take place on Thursday 24 November from 3.30pm in the Launchpad Studio at Penryn. Tickets are free but you must book a place, visit the Chamber website to get yours.
