Launchpad start-up Now & Then has been named as the Tourism and Leisure Start-up of the Year at the south west final of the StartUp Awards National Series.

Now & Then provides tools for attractions, museums, and places of interest to easily create guided tours uniquely tailored to each user, using pre-existing or new content.

Founder Mike Robinson said: “Winning this award is a huge honour. A substantial amount of hard work and preparation has gone in to creating Now & Then, we have overcome many hurdles and are now finally in a position to launch the new app.

“We are in talks with large tourism attractions, councils, and influencers with regards to creating exciting new tours which will enable people to connect to history and society. The future is bright for Now & Then - this is only the beginning.”

The final was held at the Propyard in Bristol and saw twenty different awards given out to new businesses. The awards were judged by a panel of prominent judges, including successful entrepreneurs and their supporters such as Jon Simon, co-founder & CEO of PieMinister, Ellie Webb, Founder & CEO Caleño, and Tom Ball, Founder of DeskLodge.

The StartUp Awards National Series debuted this year to highlight the dynamic start-up scene across the country that skyrocketed during the pandemic. It has been rolled out in nine UK regions, supported nationally by BT, EY Breakthrough Incentives, Clearco, Dell Technologies & Intel, Moblox, Fearless Adventures and with regional support from SwagPack and the Moja Group.
