Cornwall’s leading AI company puts a new CEO at the helm for its growth phase

Hertzian, which was established in Launchpad, has announced that Christopher Weavill will succeed Garry Barter as the new CEO of the company.

Hertzian’s current CEO, Garry Barter, will step down from his role and leave the business after seven years in post. He said: “The aim of the last few years has been to achieve a level of sustainability that provides Hertzian with a solid foundation to build on and I’m extremely proud to have delivered this through our Hertzian and Player XP services.

“I’m extremely proud of the quality and level of service delivered to our clients every day. I leave the business with a highly efficient and knowledgeable team in place, who are ready to take it to the next level. My thanks go out to all the customers, partners and team members who have helped us reach this level.”

In making this appointment, the Board of Directors expressed its appreciation for Garry Barter and his services and achievements during his appointment: "After seven years of faithful service with Hertzian, CEO Garry Barter is stepping down from the position of Chief Executive Officer. His service with the business has helped Hertzian establish its reputation and standing in the marketplace today. Moving into a period of high sustained growth, the Board now believes that Hertzian is well-placed to accelerate and extend its product offerings on an international scale. The execution of the company’s growth strategy is key to its future success, and we have therefore reviewed our leadership to ensure we have the right people in post.

“The new Executive team will be made up of Christopher Weavill as our new CEO, who has the right communication and leadership abilities and is the natural successor to deliver improved execution and financial performance for Hertzian, alongside Andrew Husband as CTO, who has a proven track record of delivering technical excellence and innovation.”
