Cornwall Business School: Research & Knowledge Exchange

A Falmouth University student sat on the floor surrounded by papers and books

Cornwall Business School works in rural creative economies and national/international communities of practice, to deliver impactful Research and Knowledge Exchange at the nexus of creativity and technology.

We work sustainably and inclusively against three themes which align with taught provision and academic expertise to enable research informed teaching.

Research focus

We work in alignment with our ambition to be internationally recognised for producing, nurturing and developing the next generation of entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, marketers, creative and ethically informed business leaders, events and tourism managers and professionals. To deliver this we focus on three Research & Knowledge Exchange themes:

  1. Supporting the Growth of Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) - Theme Lead: Dr Francisco Romera Camara
  2. Exploring Events & Tourism Futures - Theme Lead: Dr Donna Poade
  3. Evaluating the Impact of Falmouth's University-Based Student Incubation Models - Theme Lead: Marcus Simmons

Three cross cutting strands support and inform each theme:

  • The Nexus of Creativity and Technology
  • Sustainability
  • Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

Consideration of pedagogy occurs within individual themes.
