Falmouth Bursaries

Applicable to undergraduate study
All students joining Falmouth University from academic year 2020/21 onwards, who are assessed by Student Finance England (or their regional funding body) as having a household income of under £25,000, will be eligible for a Falmouth Bursary.

Applicable to undergraduate study
We are offering a range of awards to encourage applications from people who might not have previously considered university study. These include income assessed bursaries and fixed awards aimed at students with specific additional needs. In order to be considered for the below awards you'll need to have been income assessed by Student Finance. As such, we would advise you to apply for your finance as soon as possible.
Income assessed bursaries
UK and EU students who are assessed by Student Finance as having a household income of under £35,000pa will automatically receive an income assessed bursary from Falmouth University. The level of award will vary dependent upon your exact level of household income and the anticipated additional course costs you may face. This will be an annual award, assuming that your circumstances don't change.

University fixed bursaries
Students from the below groups will automatically qualify for an additional bursary.

Income assessed bursaries
UK students who are assessed by Student Finance as having a household income of under £35,000 per annum will automatically receive an income assessed bursary from Falmouth University. This is an annual award, assuming that your circumstances don't change.

Disabled students bursary
£1,000 award in the first year of study only. Any UK student qualifying for disabled student allowance, for a reason other than solely dyslexia, dyspraxia or dyscalculia, will qualify for this award. Eligible students are automatically identified during the autumn term and the bursary is paid in two instalments.
Care leavers bursary
This bursary is for students who were in local authority care at age 16. It is a £1,000 award in each full year of study, which is usually paid as an accommodation contribution. If you think you may be eligible, please contact our care leaver support team and see our support for care leavers page.

Dependants bursary
This is an additional award for students who are in receipt of either childcare grant or adult dependants grant. If you think you may be eligible, please contact our bursary team. The award is worth £250 for each full year of study and is paid each February.
