Falmouth University is offering 15 scholarships of £2,000 each to its most talented undergraduate and postgraduate students who will be starting their first year of study with us in September 2025. 

Amount: £2,000

Who it's for: International offer holders paying international fees applying for a full-time on-campus taught bachelors or master’s course, demonstrating exceptional talent. 

About the award

The following £2,000 awards are available:

  • 10 x undergraduate scholarships 

  • 5 x postgraduate scholarships 

 

Please note students can only receive one scholarship each. The sum will be applied by the University as a credit towards the second instalment of the student's tuition fees. It will be deducted from the total remaining fees payable. 

Eligibility

To be eligible for the International Talent Awards you will: 

  • Qualify for the International fee rate (it therefore does not include anyone paying home fees) 

  • Be new to Falmouth University in 2025/26 

  • 2024/2025 deferred offer holders will also be considered for the scholarship (they have to re-apply if they have already applied previously) 

  • Be entering directly into the first year of the course 

  • Hold an offer for a full-time on-campus bachelors or master’s course (not online), starting in September 2025 

  • Have received an offer by 11th April 2025 at 23:59 BST 

  • Have sent in their supporting statement by 13th April 2025 at 23:59 BST 

To be eligible for our September 2025 scholarship, you need to have filled in our form here. 

The statement needs to include: 

  • Your full name with which you applied 

  • Your Falmouth student ID (usually starting with 24 or 25) 

  • Confirmation you have received an offer from us 

  • A valid phone number we can contact you on (don't forget your international code) 

  • A 500-word statement which includes: 

  • Your academic/professional achievements 

  • Your motivation for studying the course and your choice of Falmouth 

  • How the course will connect to your future career. 

  • The statement is not about why your need a scholarship 

  • Your agreement that the university can use your statement and details for marketing purposes, whether you are awarded a scholarship or not 

 

Outcome

All offer holders who have received an offer by 23:59 BST on 11th April 2025, sent in their supporting statement by 23:59 BST on 13th April 2025 and fall within the eligibility criteria will be considered for the award.  

For undergraduate courses, each award will be attributed based on the following criteria: 

  • Previous experience and potential outlined in the supporting statement 

  • Interview performance if there is one (including a portfolio, presentation or performance where applicable), scored by the academic team 

  • Full detail on the criteria to be assessed in the interview can be found on the course interview information pages on our website

For postgraduate courses each academic department will attribute awards based on the following criteria:   

  • Previous experience and potential outlined in the supporting statement. 

  • Interview performance if there is one (including a portfolio, presentation or performance where applicable), scored by the academic team. 

  • Full detail on the criteria to be assessed in the interview can be found on the course interview information pages on our website. 

The International Student Recruitment team will inform successful applicants of outcomes: 

  • First round: by 25th April 2025. Successful applicants will have until 4th May 2025 to accept their offer and the scholarship. It will otherwise be lost. Accepting an offer includes paying the acceptance fee (deposit) if one is requested. 

  • Second round (if some successful applicants from the first round have not accepted in time): by 16th May 2025. Successful applicants will have until 25th May 2025 to accept their offer and the scholarship. It will otherwise be lost. Accepting an offer includes paying the acceptance fee (deposit) if one is requested. 

  • Third round (if some successful applicants from the first round have not accepted in time): by 6th June 2025. Successful applicants will have until 15th June 2025 to accept their offer and the scholarship. It will otherwise be lost. Accepting an offer includes paying the acceptance fee (deposit) if one is requested. 

Successful applicants will be contacted by phone, text and email, using the details as per the address that was provided in their application. Please ensure your phone number (including your country code) appears on your application. 

Further information

  • As the university only has a limited number of scholarships available, we recommend you only make an application if you can afford tuition fees and living costs 
  • We do not offer full scholarships for September 2025 entry 
  • The International Talent Awards cannot be offered in combination with any other Falmouth university scholarships
