Lecturer Cultural Management & Production

Sasha has been producing and managing cultural projects, experiences and events for the last fifteen years. During this time, she has designed, developed, delivered and evaluated events ranging from innovative small-scale cultural opportunities to major cross-art form and collaborative projects, such as Cornwall’s main contribution to the Cultural Olympiad in 2012 and Shift & Share, a major region-wide project funded by the Arts Council, which aimed to work with 40 small to mid-scale venues across the South West to develop new contemporary dance audiences. During her career, she has worked in the dance, theatre, heritage, leisure, sport, museum, gallery, film, design and music sectors, including producing and managing a wealth of cross-art forms projects; projects that use ‘cultural’ to address social issues; creative economy initiatives; and site-specific cultural experiences. She is particularly interested in producing site-specific, cross-art form experiences that resonates with audiences in innovative, compelling and lasting ways. She has worked with cultural management and production for the last three years as a visiting lecturer, alongside her production work. She also works for IKONIKA, a design business, runs a small tourism business on the north coast of Cornwall and carries on producing cultural projects in a freelance capacity.
