Rod Taite
Technical & Estates Manager for The Fashion & Textiles Institute
Rod studied photography at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design (now the Arts Institute of Bournemouth) under Geoff Drury, Chris Fassnidge and Tony Maestri. After college Rod moved to New York and started his photographic career working in fashion as a freelance photographer and assistant for 10 years.Moving back to London at the turn of the millennium Rod has variously worked for eVox Productions, John Jones Framing and Net-a-Porter.com setting up and running photographic studios for car, fine art and fashion photography. Rod has an extensive background in commercial and fashion photography having worked for clients such as Ted Baker, Lexus, Adidas and Neiman Marcus, Saks 5th Avenue, Bendel's in the US with photographers such as Troy House, Wes Bell, Diego Uchitel, and Carlton Davies. In recent years Rod has worked as a technical manager for the London College of Fashion and the Royal College of Art.
Rod continues to work on commission and is currently working on a series of photographs of cold-water swimmers for exhibition. In his spare time Rod likes to run off mountains attached to a paraglider.
