Mark L'Estrange

Mark's history in Esports goes back to 1999 when he joined a Florida Counterstrike Team while living in the US. Following a career as an award winning entrepreneur Mark went into teaching upon having a family. After 14 years at Exeter College as a program leader in Business, IT and creative technologies he went on, in just two years, to program managed what was initially an Esports pilot study into the most successful Esport management program in the UK. He brought in major international sponsorship from Microsoft, Lenovo and AMD and took nine teams across four game types to dominate Esport in the National BEF League becoming the most successful college in competition in the UK, reaching the Division one finals across three of those four games.
He has appeared on the UK National stage as a Keynote speaker, briefed government Ministers and the the Director General of the BBC. He has been interviewed for his expertise by ITV and BBC news for TV and radio on multiple occasions. He has championed ‘Women In Esport' where his team remains unbeaten and is on track for winning the National Championship.
He has also piloted, organised and promoted a regional corporate Esport Festival which is now an annual event. After working with Plymouth University on writing and approving a degree level Esports qualification and program he has now joined Falmouth Universities world famous Games Academy as Senior Lecturer in Esports & Livestreaming.
