Linda Jackson
Associate Lecturer, BA(Hons) Journalism
Linda Jackson has been teaching on the BA(Hons) Journalism course since 2012 and is an associate lecturer, and freelance journalist. She is a regular contributor to The Guardian newspaper and specialises in reporting social affairs and writes features on a range of issues.
At Falmouth, she teaches news writing, feature writing and has supervised practical portfolio work for final year students drawing on her considerable experience and expertise.
Linda has had a long career in newspapers, starting off on regional papers before becoming a political reporter and social affairs correspondent with the Press Association. She went on to be consumer affairs correspondent for The Sunday Telegraph, and then moved to Cornwall to pursue a freelance career.
Since moving to the county, she has a post graduate diploma in broadcast journalism. In 2014, she completed a post graduate diploma in Creative Education. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
