Lewis Butler
Acting Course Leader, Musical Theatre BA(Hons)
Lewis trained at the Elmhurst Ballet School for 8 years, followed by a Diploma from The London School of Musical Theatre. Lewis has gone on to gain an MA in Creative Practice (Directing/Choreography) from Arts Ed and London City University.
Lewis spent over 17 years as a performer in musical theatre in the West End, UK and International Tours and abroad and moved from being Ensemble to Swing, Dance Captain, Resident Director and later working as a Director and Choreographer in his own right. Alongside his performance career, Lewis had taught Dance and Musical Theatre at some of the top drama schools and conservatoires in the UK for over 22 years, including Arts Ed, GSA and Italia Conti, and was most recently Co-Course Leader for the BA(Hons) and Diploma in Musical Theatre at PPA in Guildford.
Lewis is also a Head Judge for The Dance World Cup and takes masterclasses internationally.
