James Randell
Front of House Manager, The Academy of Music & Theatre Arts
I have been working as a project manager and producer for over ten years. I have delivered a large number of music and performing arts projects across the arts sector in the South West region and graduated with a BA(Hons) Music degree from Falmouth University in September 2013. Prior to starting my degree at Falmouth in 2010, I worked with Arts Council England as an Artist Advisor and in the Central Production Team on the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad in the South West.
In my role at Falmouth University, I am responsible for the operational delivery of the Academy of Music & Theatre Arts (AMATA) year-round performance programme across all areas of Front of House, Production, Event Management, Health & Safety and Marketing. I manage a range of successful outreach programmes within the Performing Arts specialism at Falmouth. This includes our Propeller Dance Programme, which has a close relationship with the National Youth Dance Company, Sadlers Wells. I work with a range of strategic partners to deliver projects for the development of performing arts training and outreach in Cornwall. I lead on Box Office and Ticketing services for the University, ensuring operations are in line with industry best practice, compliance, and leading technology. I am an active member within the International Ticketing Association (INTIX) and UK Ticketing Network ensuring best practice is embedded within the Learning & Teaching across the AMATA course portfolio.
