Gina Goodman
Lecturer, Marine & Natural History Photography BA(Hons)
I am a multi award-winning underwater photographer, diving instructor, and enthusiastic lecturer with a deep and genuine love for the marine environment. I have been awarded in photography competitions internationally including the British Wildlife Photographer of the Year Awards, International Photography Awards, Fine Art Photography Awards and the British Photography Awards. I have also worked commercially for brands including Finisterre, RNLI, Nature TTL, Fourth Element and the National Maritime Museum Cornwall.
My journey into underwater photography began 18 years ago and has taken me across the Caribbean, Europe and Africa photographing a diverse array of marine habitats, from coral reefs and eagle rays to kelp forests and cuttlefish. These experiences have led me to focus on rethinking our underwater equipment and techniques, in the hopes of diversifying and expanding our creative opportunities and experimentation underwater.
I now take great pride in serving as a lecturer, dedicated to helping our students navigate the world of underwater photography while encouraging them to be bold, creative and confident practitioners.
