Georgie Bennett
Senior Lecturer, Illustration BA(Hons)
Georgie Bennett is a freelance illustrator, workshop facilitator, and lecturer. Clients include The Folio Society and Elementum Journal. She works on reportage and narrative based projects and was a member of the Chronical Residency Programme in 2018. Georgie specialises in making work inspired by real locations, drawing and painting en plein air and discovering places by virtual travel.
In partnership with her illustration practice, Georgie delivers workshops for local and online communities. She has launched public drawing events at the home of Charlies Darwin with English Heritage and at Dunton Green, her home village in Kent. Georgie established an online virtual travel drawing series in 2021, which you can find on Instagram @sketchbookeventure
Georgie graduated with her BA(Hons) degree in Illustration from Norwich University of the Arts and completed her Masters degree in Illustration: Authorial Practice and PGCHE at Falmouth University. She joined the Illustration team at Falmouth in January 2021.
