Independent Member of the Board of Governors

Tadhg Leane is a senior lecturer and senior manager at Munster Technological University (MTU). With over two decades of experience in higher education, he has dedicated a significant part of his career to strategic development and academic leadership. He has served in pivotal roles, including as Head of Strategic Development at the Cork Institute of Technology (CIT), now MTU, where his work was instrumental in the institution's transition to a Technological University. 

Tadhg holds a Doctorate in Business Administration in Higher Education Management from the University of Bath and recently completed a Masters in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at MTU. His extensive experience includes institutional governance, policy development, change management, and strategic planning. Notably, he was responsible for initiating and implementing a range of strategic projects, including major institution-wide projects such as modularisation and semesterisation, and the campaign for Technological University designation. 

Tadhg has also served on various committees and boards both locally and nationally, bringing his expertise in governance and strategic development to these roles. From 2017 to 2019, he was a member of the Board of Directors of EduCampus Ltd, where he participated in a broad range of corporate governance activities. 

In addition to his professional achievements, Tadhg is passionate about the intersection of technology and education. His recent academic pursuits in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning reflect his commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements and their applications in higher education.
