Dr Kimberly Sheen
Online Tutor, User Experience Design MA (Online)
Dr. Kimberly Sheen is an Online Tutor at Falmouth University and Lecturer at University of Leeds. She has a focus and passion for online teaching and how to best allow global students to learn from each other and become experts at harnessing theory in their practice.
She has her PhD from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Design and Technology. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a Minor in Communications from Florida State University. She holds a Master of Library and Information Studies from Florida State University in Information Architecture and Web Design and a Master of Science from University College London in Human-Computer Interaction with Ergonomics. While studying for her second masters at UCL, she started to explore her interest in ergonomics and electronic textbooks. She has now expanded her interest area to all educational technology.
Her areas of research and study interest are educational technology, ergonomics, accessible design, online information literacy, and equity in design.

Research interests and expertise
Kimberly's research area falls within cognitive ergonomics. She has a special interest in online learning, educational technology, addressing tech poverty, educational equity, and a minor interest in healthcare especially alarm fatigue.
