Claire Barker-Phillips
Course Leader, Fashion Design BA(Hons)
Claire studied Textiles at Buckinghamshire before undertaking a Masters degree at the Royal College of Art specialising in Knitwear Design. As a freelance designer, Claire’s first collection was picked up by Brown’s Focus. She then went to sell designs to a range of international companies including Marc Jacobs, Etro, Ted Baker, Marks and Spencer and Boden. Claire has also worked as an in-house and freelance designer for Habitat and Wedgewood allowing her to expand her interests into product design and issues around ethical production.
Since joining Falmouth in 2014 Claire has worked as a Course Leader, Senior Lecturer and Course Co-ordinator on the BA(Hons) Fashion Design degree course.
