Caroline Childe
Associate Lecturer, Musical Theatre BA(Hons)
Caroline studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama both as an undergraduate and on their postgraduate Opera course. Following that, she completed her studies at the National Opera Studio.
Caroline's career as an Oratorio and Opera soloist spanned over 15 years, having appeared in many of the country's leading concert halls including, The Royal Albert Hall, The Birmingham Symphony Hall, Barbican, St Johns Smith Square, Kings College Cambridge, as well touring opera to many UK theatres around the country. For the BBC her singing voice was used as the voice of Becky Sharp in their adaptation of Vanity Fair.
As a singing teacher, Caroline has worked at various establishments such as PPA, Guilford, as well as running her own private singing studio both in London and in Cornwall.
Caroline is also fascinated with the positive effect of movement and mindfulness on performers and has recently qualified as a mindfulness teacher with Mindfulness Now as well as completing both Level 1 and level 2 as a Yoga teacher.
