Senior Technician
Becky Haughton works as a senior technician in printmaking; instructing and supporting students and staff in a range of traditional print processes at the Falmouth Campus printmaking workshops. She specialises in monotype, etching, photo etching, relief and screen printing and works with students based at the Falmouth Campus. She has particular responsibility for introducing BA(Hons) Illustration students to the workshop.
Becky studied BA(Hons) Fine Art at Falmouth University (2001-2006) specialising in drawing and printmaking. Following graduation she worked for Projectbase Ltd; as printmaking technician at Cornwall College; as a visiting lecturer on the university's printmaking summer school and has been part of the Falmouth Campus technical team since 2008. She also instructs and assists at John Howard Print Studio where she continues her own creative practice.
Her practice explores interests in repetitive mark making, often characterised by lines or dots and the distinctive qualities found via digital and printmaking processes. She regularly exhibits her work locally and nationally.
