In 2015, two electricians, Joss and Neil, laid the foundation of what would become a trusted name in West Cornwall: NSN Electrical. Starting with the simple goal of providing reliable electrical services, they built their company on the belief that trust is earned through delivering exactly what is promised. From Penzance to Truro, their services have touched homes and businesses alike, without hidden costs or surprises—just honest, quality work.

As NSN Electrical’s reputation grew, so did their scope. Today, they offer a full suite of electrical services across West Cornwall, including Sennen, St. Buryan, St. Just, St. Ives, Carbis Bay, Helston, Falmouth, and Newquay. While the company’s expansion was organic, it was supported by a meticulous approach to both service and branding—something that has now reached new heights, thanks to a partnership with Launchpad Futures, a dynamic team dedicated to accelerating local businesses.

The team from Launchpad Futures, led by project manager Chris Hassall and guided by Dr. Pedro Longart of Falmouth University, has focused on fortifying NSN’s identity. One of their key contributors, Oli Pegler, a recent graduate of Falmouth University’s BSc Marketing program, has played a critical role in transforming NSN’s branding. Through long conversations with Joss, they redefined the company’s public face, ensuring it reflected the same values that had built NSN's foundation: trust, expertise, and customer satisfaction.

The rebranding effort wasn’t just about refreshing the logo or colour scheme. It was about making sure every piece of NSN's communication embodied its commitment to delivering what matters most to customers: quality service. A special focus was placed on ensuring promotional materials—like brochures—clearly conveyed NSN’s promise to customers: that they’re getting reliable, top-notch electrical services, no matter the project.

But NSN didn’t stop there. The collaboration with Launchpad Futures also saw the launch of two new services under the NSN banner: NSN Construction and NSN Compliance. These new ventures broaden NSN’s offering and solidify its place in the regional market.

To complement the brand refresh, the team also took on the challenge of revitalising NSN's online presence. With a sharper focus on social media, they ramped up both the quality and quantity of posts, using tools like Planable to streamline scheduling and Canva to produce visually compelling content. Codie Rees, a graduate of the School of Film and Television, played an instrumental role, creating high-quality photos and videos that added a polished visual dimension to NSN’s social media platforms. The results? An impressive threefold increase in Instagram engagement, with customers taking a deeper interest in what NSN had to offer.

Beyond just likes and shares, NSN’s social media now serves as a hub for informative content, from how-to guides to explainer videos, that have drawn customers back time and again. This level of engagement has not only amplified NSN’s visibility but also reinforced its reputation as a trusted expert in its field.

Central to this growth was the introduction of Slack, a communication tool that has dramatically improved team collaboration. With Slack, everything from branding discussions to blog post approvals happens smoothly and efficiently. Whether it’s sharing resources or getting real-time feedback on new content, Slack has allowed both the NSN team and their partners to work in harmony.

NSN’s partnership with Launchpad Futures has led to significant operational and strategic improvements, positioning the company for even greater success. Their dedication to quality service has been their cornerstone, and now, with a reinvigorated brand and a stronger online presence, NSN is poised to lead West Cornwall’s electrical services industry for years to come.

As the company continues to grow, their core values remain unchanged. They still live by the ethos of delivering on their promises, no surprises, no hidden costs. And as they look to the future, those same principles will guide them as they expand their services and deepen their roots in the communities they serve. NSN is more than just an electrical service provider; they are a brand that West Cornwall can trust.
