Textile Design Student, Felicity Whittaker, is exhibiting a tapestry at the Tapestry Showcase being held at the National Galleries of Scotland in Edinburgh. It is an exhibition with other shortlisted entries for The Cordis Prize for Tapestry.

The purpose of the showcase is to encourage the work of aspiring weavers, and to give them a platform to exhibit and sell their work in a venue of national prestige. Less than a quarter of the submitted works made it to the final exhibition.

Sally-Ann Gill, Course Leader for Textile Design said: “We are very proud of Felicity and her entry to the Cordis Prize for Tapestry. It’s wonderful to see the students we teach develop their capabilities and learn their craft. Having their work chosen for a showcase such as this gives them recognition they deserve. Congratulations Felicity!”
