Studio 316, a game development studio founded by graduates of the Games Academy via Launchpad, has announced their latest project: Post Apocalypse Courier Service (P.A.C.S.).

The game, described as a ‘unique blend of MudRunner, Lethal Company, and Mad Max’, reimagines the post-apocalyptic world through a delivery driving simulator. The game picked up over 20,000 wish lists on Steam in its opening few days on the back of its engaging gameplay trailer.

In P.A.C.S., players can join up to four friends to navigate the treacherous terrain of a desolate - yet beautifully diverse - wasteland. From icy peaks to sandy dunes and muddy swamps, players must overcome extreme conditions while managing vehicle repairs, upgrades, and parcel deliveries. The overall goal is to grow their business from a small-time garage operation into a national mega-corporation.

The game combines immersive gameplay mechanics such as physically simulated driving, dynamic weather, and varied terrains, with strategic inventory management and vehicle customisation. Players can scavenge for parts to repair and upgrade their trucks, enhancing features like the suspension, gearbox, engine, and fuel tank. Whether playing solo or in co-op multiplayer mode, the game promises a rich experience that blends strategic thinking with the thrill of exploration.

Studio 316 has been hard at work on P.A.C.S. for the past five months, with support from the UK Games Fund Prototype Fund, allowing them to push the boundaries of what a post-apocalyptic delivery simulator can be. The company is currently searching for a publishing deal to fund the full production of the game.
