Following the success of last year’s ‘Postcard Challenge’ which was limited to students in Cornwall and Devon, this year the 'Making Waves' competition has been delivered on a national scale with over 180 entries!

The chosen theme this year was Ocean Ambassadors: Sustainability and the Sea. As Falmouth is a coastal university, the ocean is a big part of who we are/our way of life here in Cornwall. We also want to draw attention to the threat the ocean is under.

When will the Exhibition take place?

We will be running the ‘Making Waves’ exhibition from 20th May – 3rd June in the Lower Fox Gallery on Falmouth Campus. All entries with prizes will be exhibited, and there will also be a digital exhibition of all entries at the exhibition (slideshow on a screen) and this will be available to watch via our website soon.

The exhibition will also be open during the Open Day on 25th May and Community Day on 1st June, which are open for the public to visit.

Art mediums have included painting, illustration, textiles, sculpture, ceramics, photography, lino print, film, drawing and more.
