Crossroads is a collaboration of three performances, all exploring what it means to be human, along with the impact that change and moving forward can have on our lives. Exploring through puppetry, movement, digital media and spoken word, each artist uses their own expertise to tell a unique and important story. Three different paths in life meet in the middle to create three different shows, all posing the same question – how do we move through life?

transhood:
There is a girl. There, in the picture frame. Dressed in a blue and white checked dress. Smiling.
Piece by piece, I have to work out how to take her with me.

The story is there. It’s ready to be told.
Or maybe we already knew it.
So what do you do when you realise it was never really written for you?

transhood is a solo performance that weaves together movement, spoken word and digital media to create a tender exploration of the experience of growing up trans, and what it means to rediscover who you used to be.

Performer: Leo Kirk

Content warning: Discussion of transphobia & grief, and overwhelming soundscape

Exhibited:
Step into an exhibit, estranged, familiar, and become a voyeur of someone living a similar life as you.

Exhibited follows the struggles of a girl upon whom a change is demanded. A choice to either crumble like the preserved artefacts around her or learn to remould herself to where she finds herself now.

Exploring memory, adaptability, fear and courage through movement, sound and object, Exhibited asks the questions: What do we take with us through life, and what gets left behind?

Performer: Isabelle Rowlands

Mission: Mira Needs to Sleep
Have you ever felt like 24 hours in a day is not enough? Mira has been thinking about it a lot lately. She is hopefully about to enter university the next autumn. And nobody has warned her how crazy it can get when her friends need tutoring, tasks keep piling and her written work needs aligning... . This is a problem that Mira's inner archetypes have been trying to resolve for a few weeks. Their job is not the easiest when Mira doesn't listen, they are not sure who is supposed to be in charge and on the top of it all, Mr. Sandman won't pick up their call!

Performer: Sima Surňáková

Content warning: Grief and flickering images
